I'm finally finished. My Christmas shopping is now complete and most of the presents have been wrapped. Thankfully, I don't have to go to any more stores this holiday season, not even to buy groceries. Yesterday was the worst. Needing to go to Target to grab a new foil and cutters for my electric razor, I thought I could be in and out in 15 minutes. I knew exactly what I needed and where it was located in the store. To park, get the items, pay and get out to the highway took an hour!!! Absolutely ridiculous!

Thankfully the little present I bought myself didn't cause an hassles. There's rarely a line (or another customer) at the comic store. This year marks the 20th anniversary of The Transformers. To commemorate the event, Dreamwave Productions (the publisher of the comic) released a lithograph. It shows every Transformer from the 80's (I think). A nice little addition to my office.

Department Store Idiots (part 1)

How much political correctness is considered too much? Apparently Macy's is taking away anything that has the phrase Merry Christmas on it and replacing the phrase with Happy Holidays or Season's Greetings. Is this really necessary? Is Merry Christmas that offensive to atheists, Jews and other religious factions? I certainly don't understand this decision. Where does it end? Will Happy Easter banners be replaced with Happy Spring? I suppose changing Happy Thanksgiving to "Happy Honoring of the Day when Native Americans and Native Englishmen (and women) ate Native Vegetables and Animals of the Future Northeastern United States" would be too much to add to a banner.

Department Store Idiots (part 2)

Not that Target is really a department store, but I certainly don't understand the uproar people are making about Target not allowing The Salvation Army to solicit outside Target's stores. It's not like this was a rash decision made by Target. The Salvation Army has known since the first of the year. What bothers me the most is the fact that people are boycotting Target because of their decision with no clue as to why the decision was made. If these boycotters would take the time to do a little more reading, they would find out that Target made the decision in order to be fair to all charitable organizations. They are choosing NOT to show preferential treatment and people are all up in arms. Are these boycotters also boycotting Barnes & Noble and Toys R Us who have similar policies? Only in America is being fair considered wrong.

If you are looking for a diet for the new year, I have the solution. Many people find the Hollywood Diet to be great for quick weight loss. What they fail to tell you in the commercials is that basically you crap your guts out for a day and lose about 10 pounds (mostly water weight). Of course these solutions are very expensive.

I offer to you my cheap, quick, weight loss solution. Try to find a bottle of Vicious Viper hot sauce. Put approximately 6 drops on half of a 6 inch sub. Hopefully you will be able to finish your meal. Within an hour, it should work it's magic. And, you will have plenty more to use whenever you need it.

In my experience, the edges of my tongue began to burn after the second bite. After I had eaten a fourth of my sub, the burning sensation started creeping to the back of my throat. I think I drank about 80 ounces of lemonade. I'm still paying for this adventure.

Here was the plan. We stopped by Firehouse Subs before grocery shopping today. I ordered a nice corned beef and pastrami sub. After ordering, I noticed about 50 different bottles of hot sauce on the counter. I love hot sauce and thought, "Wow, I'd like to try some of these." My intent was to try one sauce per half of my sub. I grabbed the Vicious Viper sauce based on the label. Expecting it to be warmer than most sauces, I only put six drops on the first half of the sandwich. What I got was a flaming mouth after about four bites. I didn't take a chance with another sauce once I got my mouth cooled off.
