It's Friday thankfully. This was an incredibly tiring and long week. It's really bad when you wake up on Wednesday after crashing early on Tuesday night and feel like you've already worked your 40 hours for the week. After work today, I'm headed to Memphis for the weekend. I wish I could say it will be relaxing, but I doubt it will be. Half of Erika's family (parents, aunt and uncle) thought it would be a good idea to meet halfway between Dallas and Cleveland. Initially this meeting point was Jackson, TN. Based on what I know, Jackson's claim to fame is a minor league baseball team and that's about it. We talked them into Memphis, especially if they wanted us to meet them. As it turns out, Memphis is falling apart. The Pyramid is being torn down for a Pro Bass Shop. The Pink palace is closed for renovations. Pat O'Briens closed because of abysmal profits. I so wanted a rainbow or two after this week.

What's left to do? Not much. There's the zoo and we found a botanical garden. Another music museum we haven't been to before. Not going near Graceland since it is Elvis week. I shudder at the thought of crazies there. I'm not one to sit by the pool either. I have a pool here and I don't go out there all that much. Why drive to Memphis to do that? I wouldn't mind a day trip to Tunica. I've been wanting to go there for a while. Probably only a fun time for me though.

So, while I am in Memphis, enjoy pics from my trip to Chicago last month. Finally got around to posting them. Was much easier since Nintendo finally got the facebook app ready for the DSi.
