I'm back from San Antonio. It was a nice little trip to a place I've never been. I do hope to go back some day, perhaps even permanently. It was a lovely little city. I got to visit several of the missions in San Antonio including the Alamo. I have to say that David Crockett looked nothing like Billy Bob Thornton.

The whole purpose for being there was because Erika was going to a conference. I spent a few hours at the conference, but most of the time was spent enjoying the local attractions. The Riverwalk they have downtown is really cool. There are lots of restaurants with tables right on the bank. I'm curious to know how many drunk people fall in every year. Luckily it's only a few feet deep.

Amidst all the siteseeing, Erika won an award for Outstanding Student Paper at the conference. It's a very prestigious award and is the first of many. She also won an honorable mention for Outstanding Paper in Women's History. Odd considering the paper was about a guy.

So, now it's back to the grind. I have a review for Must Love Dogs to put together. That's only about 6 weeks old. I hope to have that finished tomorrow. The rest of the week is extra busy, so I'm not sure what else I'll get posted this week.
