Yesterday afternoon as I was walking to my car to leave campus, the events at Virginia Tech were on my mind. I wasn't really thinking about what happened; I was thinking about who would catch the blame. How long would it be before video games would be blamed for the shootings? I was ready for everyone to place their bets, but I'm a little too late. It appears that Jack Thompson, infamous with gamers everywhere for his strong stance against video games has already opened his mouth as has Dr. Phil. Is it wrong for people to admit that kid was just screwed up in the head? The majority of males between 13 and 35 play video games. So, one guy goes crazy one day and it's the fault of video games? Shouldn't everyone that plays video games be out causing a ruckus? I played Nintendogs this morning. I hope I don't snap and run across the quad to kidnap a dog. More than likely I'll play baseball and/or hockey this evening on my PS2. Hide all the round objects in the house before I start smacking them too. I need to go now. I have the sudden urge to eat marbles and track down some ghosts.
