Why is Daylight Savings Time necessary? Has the government not realized that it just doesn't matter any more? It's an annoyance to change the clocks and for what, to see the sun set an hour later than normal? Apparently it isn't necessary if Arizona, Hawaii and Indianapolis can decide whether or not to even honor the time change. I think America cares so little now that the news doesn't even bother to remind us.

Growing up, the week before changing the clocks, every TV station had a quick "ad" to remind everyone how and when to change your clocks. Maybe they don't do that now because you can't spit without hitting an electronic device that thinks for itself. My computer didn't even bother to tell me that it had changed my clock as I wandered around myspace early Sunday morning.

Let us just enjoy the time we have. As adults, we barely have time to enjoy anything outside. Having the sun set at 7 instead of 8 is really not going to help is it? By 7 o'clock, I'm ready to sit on the couch and watch some TV regardless of where the sun is in the sky.
