After a nice relaxing weekend, it's time once again to teach. Today starts the winter quarter. After three weeks of classes, we will take a two week break and resume for the remaining 8 weeks ending on my birthday. Luckily this quarter I only have to teach one new class. This certainly makes my life simpler and hopefully will lead to more frequent updates to the web site. Tomorrow I have to work all day (8:30 AM - 11:30 PM). I have two classes (databases and ASP) to teach. Thankfully this is the only full day I have.
I have just posted my new column,
Weekly Rundown, in the
Gameroom. This column briefly describes what's going on in my game world: what I'm playing and what's happening in those games. I hope you enjoy.
A new review is up for
feardotcom. You can find it under
Now Playing. Look for a new column in the
Gameroom tomorrow evening.
This past weekend I took a little trip to Biloxi, Mississippi. While I was there, I had the unique experience of meeting a dolphin. I got a chance to feed it as well as touch it. Erika got to do the same, but she also had a nice encounter with a sea lion that kissed her.
Biloxi is big on casinos having about half a dozen of them scattered along the beach. I didn't get to play as much as I would have liked. All of my time was spent at the slots. It's amazing how advanced these video slots are now. It's much more than just pulling a handle. Now you have to select lines across 5 columns. Some slots have little video games thrown in as well. I made most of my money though on video poker ending the night down 5 bucks. Too bad I couldn't make enough to pay for the less than stellar buffet we ate at. Oddly enough, Erika thought it was one of the best buffets we had eaten at, and this was before she got to the chocolate fountains and fudge varieties.
Wow, It's been two week's since last I posted anything. Not having the past two weekends to work, I've had little time to do anything other than prepare for finals. That's happening this week. Tonight, I will finally be able to post the review of feardotcom. 10 days of down time should provide nice opportunities for updates.
