Is it just me or is Ebay overrun with idiots and "get rich quick" jerks? My latest Ebay transaction was yet another example of idiocy. After winning an auction 2 weeks ago, I am still waiting for everything to arrive. I won the auction on a Wednesday and paid immediately with PayPal. Two days later there had been no contact by the seller, so I initiated it with an e-mail. The package was to be sent Saturday via Priority mail. I received the package exactly one week later. Even from California, Priority mail doesn't take a week. Not only was the package sent standard mail, but it also wasn't sent until Monday. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but I spent 3 days wondering where in the world my package was. Upon opening the package, I discovered that one of the items was missing. I pointed this out to the seller and he asked for more money for shipping for his mistake. HUH?!?!? After politely declining and listing the reasons why I would not pay more shipping, he stated it wasn't his fault that he forgot to send the package promptly and forgot to check the package to make sure everything was included. I suppose it was the Pope's fault for not blessing the package before its journey then? Who's fault is it? All he seemed to be concerned about was positive feedback. Too late for that Tweedledum.

Sorry folks. I've been pretty busy as of late and haven't updated the site as I should. I have a lot of stuff in the works including reviews of
The Punisher and
Van Helsing. I've also got plans for a new set of trivia and a long overdue update to the
Gameroom with a tribute to Rubik's Cube. Sorry for the delay.

And so it ends. After 10 years, the last episode of
Friends aired last night to great fanfare throughout the whole week. At our house, there was no escaping anything associated with the show. We even had a
Friends themed party with a "Joey Special" (two pizzas) and Phoebe's secret recipe cookies (Nestle Toll House cookies). Even though it was sad for major fans of the show, it was a fitting farewell. However, life goes on.
Joey starts this fall.
