Another busy weekend nears. This weekend is celebrating 7 years together with my wife. I'll be offline for a couple days but hopefully the preview of MLB Sportsclix in the
Gameroom will keep you entertained. Don't forget to submit those trivia answers by Monday.
This week's trivia has been posted. The questions are a lot easier than the past two weeks.
What a great Valentine's Day I experienced yesterday. Being that February is a month full of activities (V-Day, anniversary, birthday, etc.) I was solely in charge of the Valentine's Day activities. Unfortunately I had to work that morning and the afternoon didn't start very well either. Juggling with flowers, lunch and books from work, I dropped a bag with bowls of soup which of course spilled. Thankfully, the main course for lunch was in another bag. That was really the only problem and the date was very fun and problem-free for the most part. After lunch, we exchanged gifts. I have to admit I'm extremely spoiled as I am now the owner of 6 limited edition collectible dragon figures. The detail is amazing and gorgeous. I hope to have photos this week.
The date started with a stop at the Western Reserve Historical Society. The main reason for going was for an exhibit on Cinderella in the movies, a collection of gowns from Cinderella movies. Apparently, there have only been 3 Cinderella movies (
Ever After,
Tales of an Ugly Stepsister and
Cinderella). The exhibit was quite small with about 36 costumes, but there was plenty to do in My Planet Earth, an interactive exhibit about how the Earth gets polluted. We spent a lot of time playing with all the little games there. We left when the museum closed and drove over to Little Italy. Dinner reservations weren't until 6:30 so we walked around for an hour peering into all of the shops. After some coffee and biscotti at a little coffee shop, we went to dinner at La Dolce Vita. It wasn't the best restaurant I've eaten at, but it offered a romantic atmosphere and decent food. After dinner it was time for the evening entertainment -
I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change. Advertised as a musical comedy covering the gamut of love, it provided a few chuckles, but wasn't nearly as funny as I expected.
Overall, it was a very relaxing and romantic evening. And, I get to have another one next weekend as we celebrate seven years together.
What a boring life I have at the moment. The biggest highlight of the week was having the cat's teeth cleaned. I felt really bad for her. Not only did she have her teeth cleaned but she had one pulled as well. The doctor even took photos of the tooth before pulling it - half of the tooth was missing. Recovery time was pretty quick. She didn't want to be around anyone the day after, but ever since then she's been a ravenous little creature. After gobbling down her breakfast she's usually squawking for more within minutes. I guess her appetite was being curbed by pain.
Last night I had a chance to try out the new MLB Sportsclix by WizKids. I'll have a write-up about the game soon in the
Gameroom.
Wow, this past week went by pretty fast. Hard to believe the Super Bowl was just 7 days ago. If you haven't noticed yet, the review for
The Last Samurai has been posted, Look for new trivia questions tomorrow night. Be sure to get those submissions in.
I will be making a special appearance on TV tonight. I went to the taping of Smackdown on Tuesday night which will air tonight at 8 PM (7 central) on UPN. The seats we had were very good (too bad the show was that great); we were 5 rows back on the side opposite the cameras. When they show a standard shot of the ring, you should be able to see me near the top left ring post. Erika is sitting on my left in a grey sweater and there is a large guy on my right in an dark orange shirt.
The show isn't the worst I've seen, but it gets very dull in parts. Many of the matches are full of holds rather than grapples. Not to mention that there is very little in the way of angles (and I don't mean Kurt). Things just happen for no reason.
There should be a repeat viewing of me on Saturday night on TNN (Velocity) at 10 PM (9 central).

I saw an unusual site today. As I was driving to work this morning, parts of the ground were covered with some type of green substance. Mixed with the green was some beige substance as well. It was almost as if the snow had started to grow mold from the above freezing temperatures. ;)
Actually, I'm glad that some of this snow started to melt. But, it's only February so the drifts are bound to return. As a matter of fact the snow is planned for the weekend, but at least it won't be frigid. I think I can handle temps near freezing a lot better than temps in the teens or worse.
The first event ever for the WWFJ (World Wrestling Federation by Jason) was held over the weekend. Tag team titles exchanged hands but the solo championships were all retained by their current owner. Read all about it in the
Gameroom. Also, talk about your favorite Super Bowl ads on the
Message Boards.
Over the weekend, the largest person I've ever personally seen was put in the path of my vision. I was amazed that a person this large could walk. This man's butt cheek was as wide as *ME* and I'm not small by any means. I applaud this person for actually walking, but seriously, he needs to visit a doctor if he hasn't already. It boggles the mind how someone could intentionally get that large. If you are obese, do yourself a favor and get some help. Don't wait for Dr. Phil or Richard Simmons to knock on your door.
